You cannot melt fat away from a specific body part by working on that area. You also cannot turn fat into muscle. Shedding fat is done by following a proper exercise and nutrition routine.

Myth 2: Lifting weights leads to bulkiness.

The heavier you lift, the greater is the stress exerted on your nervous system. Generally speaking, if you monitor your calories properly and are on a proper exercise and nutrition routine, you can lift heavy without getting bulky. It is possible to get stronger without getting bigger.

Myth 3: Weight is the only thing that determines fitness levels.

We’ve seen many people get discouraged and quit only two months after starting a new form of exercise because of a lack of results. The problem is people use the scale as the determining factor if they’re on the right track or not. The scale can be misleading. It is possible that a person has shed two pounds of fat and gained two pounds of muscle. This way, the net change in weight is zero, however, the person would be smaller in size, have more energy, and have a boosted metabolism.
