Alysha is a distinguished, honour graduate of the Registered Massage Therapy advanced diploma program at Algonquin College, and an active, practicing member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and Association des Massothérapeutes du Québec. She is currently pursuing a degree in Health Science from Queen’s University to further address patient health with a comprehensive foundation in human anatomy and physiology.
Alysha exercises result driven treatment through the use of thorough assessment, evidence-based technique and client education. Within treatment, she is able to offer a spectrum of care which includes the use of deep tissue massage, trigger point release, cupping therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), as well as fascial release and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF). Alysha has experience working with MVA’s, Veterans and sports injuries. She is enthusiastic as she engages with clients experiencing diverse origins of pain and dysfunction, specializing in manual therapy that emphasizes relief of chronic pain.
She has demonstrated success with her patients in the treatment of: TBI’s, Concussions, Post-Concussion symptoms, rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, scar tissue adhesions, plantar fasciitis, chronic sprains and strains, acquired scoliosis, reduced range of motion, occupational posture imbalance, carpal tunnel and thoracic outlet syndrome, peripheral neuropathies and temporomandibular joint dysfunction.
