Ben graduated from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, where he received an Honours Bachelor of Health Science with a specialization in Kinesiology. He is a Regulated Kinesiologist through College of Kinesiologists of Ontario and is also a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. Additionally, Ben is certified as an Advanced Medical First Responder, along with having his CPR-C, AED and First Aid. During his fourth year of university, Ben was selected for an Athletic Therapy Internship in which he volunteered as a trainer for a varsity team. Through this internship, he gained experience in rehabilitative exercise prescription and injury management. Ben played competitive hockey throughout his childhood, including playing AAA for the Ottawa Valley Titans. Throughout his hockey career he developed a passion for the study of kinesiology, particularly injury prevention and rehabilitation. Ben continues to stay involved with competitive hockey as the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Pembroke Lumber Kings U18 AAA team. He enjoys living and promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
